HIROKI FUKUI
Sunday artist based in Hokkaido, Japan.
Drawn to the quiet presence of familiar landscapes and trees,
I have centered my work on preserving the memory of disappearing scenery.
I currently balance my work as a full-time company employee with the quiet practice of a Sunday artist, creating and exhibiting under the name “Atelier Vector.”
I approach painting from a calm, observant perspective—recording landscapes and preserving the traces of memory they hold.
• Member of Hokkaido Bijutsusakkakyoukai
• Member of Nichiyo-kai Incorporated Association
• Member of Japan Artists Association
In recent years, my focus has turned to the redevelopment and loss of landscapes in my hometown—
creating “paintings that protect memory.”
Through a personal approach and touch,
I depict the traces and atmosphere of places marked by time and quietly fading away.
